Noè Harsel
Noè Harsel is a writer, arts executive and cultural producer whose work moves between storytelling, policy and public life. Her literary fiction and essays explore identity, belonging, experience, and contemporary Australia, and she regularly curates and hosts public conversations at the intersection of creativity and culture.
Her recent writing includes the chapter Jewish Enough in Ruptured: Jewish Women in Australia Reflect on Life Post–October 7 (2025). She writes essays and cultural commentary on Substack through All the Things, exploring literature, identity and culture. Noè is the creator of the podcasts Why Write and Like Us (SBS), founder of Live Write, and serves on the board of the Wheeler Centre. She previously served as Chair of Writers Victoria and has held advisory and leadership roles across the arts, cultural and government sectors.
She is Senior Policy Advisor at the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation at Monash University, and was formerly Museum Director and CEO of the Jewish Museum of Australia, where she led major programs centred on identity, memory and community dialogue.
