Nadine Vatel

Nadine Vatel became a writer at the age of seven after receiving her very first journal. Writing transitioned from a hobby to a career after she completed her fourth novel, The Price of Privilege.

Nadine’s writing ranges from Young Adult to Romance with a focus on social and family relations. As a first-generation American citizen with strong ties to the West Indian culture, she uses her unique background to craft stories that touch on race, religion, culture, and politics.

Nadine holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University where she majored in Sociology and completed her minor studies in African American history. Her debut novel Secrets of My Temple was self-published in 2006 and entered the Writer’s Digest 25th annual self-published book awards. Secrets of My Temple received a 5 out of 5 rating in plot, voice, writing style, story appeal and character development.

Married with two children, Nadine currently resides in Upper Marlboro Maryland where she has devoted her time to writing and family
