Michele Seminara

Michele Seminara is a respected Sydney-based poet, writer, editor and moderator. Renowned Australian poet Robert Adamson called Seminara “the finest poet of her generation”.  

Her writing has twice been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and has appeared in publications such as Australian Poetry Journal, Mascara Literary Review, Jacket2 Magazine, Cordite, and The Australian. She has published two poetry chapbooks and two full-length collections, the most recent being Suburban Fantasy.

Michele has performed her poetry and appeared on panels at numerous literary events and festivals Australia-wide, including Canberra Writers Festival, Newcastle Writers Festival and Queensland Poetry Festival. She is an experienced moderator and has hosted discussions with writers such as Nam Le and Indira Naidoo. She has also judged literary prizes, curated and emceed poetry readings, and was Managing Editor and Co-poetry Editor of online creative arts journal Verity La from 2014-2021.
