Heidi Catherine

Before turning to a life of crime writing, Heidi Catherine built a successful career as the author of over thirty fantasy and dystopian novels. While she quite enjoys killing her characters (especially the awful ones), she promises she’s far better behaved in real life.

Heidi holds a degree in marketing and taught public relations for one of Australia’s top online universities. Her works of fiction have been shortlisted for numerous writing awards. A highlight was winning first place in Romance Writers of Australia’s Emerald Pro Award for best unpublished manuscript. She was also highly commended in The Hope Prize, resulting in publication in an anthology by Simon & Schuster.

With a current focus on writing domestic suspense novels, Heidi is fascinated by human interactions and relationships, using ‘research’ as her excuse for watching far too much reality TV.

Heidi lives on the Mornington Peninsula with her husband and two sons, with the running of her house overseen by a feisty rescue chihuahua.
