Benjamin Gilmour

Benjamin Gilmour is an author, screenwriter and film director. He wrote and directed Jirga (2019), Australias entry to the 91st Academy Awards, and before that, Paramedico (2012) and Son of a Lion (2008). He is the author of six books, including Warrior Poets (pier 9), Paramedico (HarperCollins) and The Gap (Penguin random House). In 2019 his script for Jirga won the NSW Premiers Prize for screenwriting. He lives in Northern NSW, Australia.
